Review | Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

When I first started wearing foundation back in college, my skin wasn't perfect so I always chose the more heavy coverage to hide the imperfections. Now after finding a skin care routine that worked wonders (the amazing Liz Earle "trio"- Cleanse & Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and the Skin Repair Moisturiser) I switched to BB Cream, the original Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector to be precise. I couldn't rave about this product enough! So when the same product designed for oily skin was released, I snapped that one up and haven't looked back since!

The coverage is perfect for my skin, it covers evenly and looks healthy. My face still gets slightly shiny throughout the day as I don't use any powder on top so I may try that as an extra to see if it helps. Overall this is a product I'll always re-purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something with a lighter coverage for a healthy look during the day.

Twitter Update

I've been using my personal twitter account for a while now and I've decided to create one especially for my blog. This is where I will be posting any updates on new posts as well as taking part in the #bbloggers chat.

If you'd like to follow me, my new link is https://twitter.com/fearlessblog. I'm online quite a lot so if you want to chat or message me on there I should reply pretty quickly!

Also, I just want to say thanks for the support so far, I never thought my blog would be followed by 2 people, let alone 40! It means a lot that people are liking what I'm writing about :)

Job Hunting

This post is a little more chatty than usual so I'd like to apologise in advance if none of this makes sense!

At the moment I'm currently unemployed. I had a temporary Christmas retail job which unfortunately I didn't get kept on at so I'm on the hunt for something else. The thing is, it's so hard to find a job these days! Now, I know I'm not really in a position to be too fussy about where I work but I'm looking to branch out of retail yet it's a very hard thing to do. I'd love to have a nice office job, have my own desk with a computer and telephone and interact with people using these methods. A typical "9 to 5" job if you will. It just seems that these types of jobs all require some form of experience. Whether it's certain qualifications ie a degree, or having worked for a similar company before, there's little chance of anyone with a retail background like mine to get hired. Now, I know it does happen but very rarely. Training would be good, yet very few companies offer this. It's time consuming and if they can hire someone who already has the skills, why bother offering any form of training?

When I was in school and had to think about what I wanted to do as a career, I always came up with journalism. It sounded great- writing for a magazine, working in that office style environment, always busy. Then I changed my mind. Biggest mistake ever. Now I regret not studying towards that goal as it's one of the toughest markets to break into without qualifications or experience.

I'm completely at a loss about what I can do and it's really starting to get me down lately. I've applied for quite a few jobs but so far I've had no responses back. I may not have the right qualifications but when it comes to other aspects (confidence, good telephone manner, IT literate etc) I'm doing quite well. I guess I just need to keep trying and see what happens.

NOTD | Lilac (GO)

Lilac (GO) is a lovely lilac shade with a gold shimmer from the make up range by Marks & Spencer. It's one of my favourite colours and it's definitely my go-to shade when I want to paint my nails. I'm wearing two coats of this plus a top coat, it does dry fairly shiny but I tend to smudge my nails before they're dry so I always add a top coat just to be safe!

Unfortunately this colour doesn't seem to be available any more but I've included the link to the other colours as at £3.50 these are an absolute bargain and the range of colours is very good!

What's your favourite nail polish?

I'm thinking of doing a nail polish collection series at some point, would that be something you'd be interested in? Let me know! :)
